HAMLINE UNIVERSITY
Saint Paul, MN: Dec 2016

The IAA's partners built the 1st multi-campus disinformation-fighting network in 2007.

yup, a manhattan project

Our students started advocacy on AI/algorithms, disinfo, privacy, and public health (data centers)

No one would listen. By 2016, we realized art was the only way to get people's attention.

Unfortunately for humanity, most folks didn't catch on until the 2020s.

    Institute for Aesthetic Advocacy

Est. 2017. Twin Cities. Not a non-profit. Strategically just a loosely defined "art collective." (Keeps legal/pr options open.) All volunteer since '17. But now we need bodies/staff. Full transparency on every dime spent/raised on the support page. Very easy to flame us online.
