At the height of the pandemic -- when disinformation and trauma were at their zenith -- the IAA brought hundreds of artists and patrons (from around the world and "both sides" of America's political reality) together to show the common humanity lurking behind the headlines.

Using our (then & still) cutting-edge curatorial & exhibition strategies, the goal was to remind ppl that we need (& can trust) each other.

Institute for Aesthetic Advocacy

Est. 2017. Twin Cities. Not a non-profit. Strategically just a loosely defined "art collective." (Keeps legal/pr options open.) All volunteer since '17. But now we need bodies/staff. Full transparency on every dime spent/raised on the support page. Very easy to flame us online.
